Arrival & Dismissal Procedure - Washington Elementary School

The safety of students, staff, families, and our surrounding community is our top priority. Due to limited parking and heavy traffic around the school, arrival and dismissal procedures are in place to ensure a safe and smooth start and end to each school day. All families are expected to follow the expectations outlined below.

School Zone Speed & Traffic Laws

Parking and Drop-Off Expectations

Do not double park, stop in the travel lane, or stop in the roundabout to drop off or pick up students.
Do not block crosswalks, corners, or intersections.
If a parking space is not available, please continue driving until a legal space is found.
Families are encouraged to park a block or two away and walk whenever possible.
If directed by school staff or safety personnel to move your vehicle, please do so immediately.
